Matthew Miller and Marc Canellas have been named to the 2014 Executive Cabinet of the Georgia Tech Graduate Student Government Association (Grad SGA) by incoming Grad SGA President John Lyon. Matthew Miller has been appointed as the Vice President of Academic Affairs whereas Marc Canellas has been appointed as the Vice President for Graduate Communications.
As the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Matthew will oversee issues and policies, such as library funding problems, grade grievance policies and graduate school policies. In addition he is responsible for hosting the annual Georgia Tech Research and Innovation Conference (GTRIC) held in the spring semester in which hundreds of graduate students will present their research to the Tech community, compete for monetary prizes for their research, in order to fund continued research or travel expenses for students to continue to make presentations across the country.
As the Vice President for Graduate Communications, Marc will be tasked with establishing and enhancing communication about Graduate SGA issues to the rest of the student body.
