Audrey Reinert is a second year Masters Student in Human Comptuer Interaction associated with the Cognitive Engineering Center. Prior to attending Georiga Tech, Audrey Reinert earned a Bachelors of Science in Cognitive Neuropsychology and a Bachelors of Arts in History from the University of California, San Diego.
Prior to working with the Congitive Engineering Center, Audrey was associated with the Georgia Tech Mobile Robot Lab. In addition to working with the Cognitive Engineering Lab, Audrey volunteers at the Georgia Tech Brain Lab
Helicopter Symbology Project
The Helicopter Symbology Project builds on previous projects in the CEC which postulated the potential implementation of heads up displays in air racing helicopters. The Symbology project is a comparison of the ease of use and funcational limitations of traditional in-fligth instruments and a heads up display.
Development of an Operator Interface to Improve Landing Accuracy of Semi-Autonomous Parafoils
The purpose of this research was to assist semi-autonomous parafoil operators in improving their landing accuracy by designing and testing novel display symbology which communicated relevant flight critical information during pre-defined phases of flight. Qualitative and Quantitative data were collected using think-aloud procedures and Cooper Harper Ratings to inform an iterative design process.
