Bowe is an Aerospace Engineering Master’s Candidate who earned Bachelor’s degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2020 in Mechanical Engineering and Russian Language. His research experience includes work on university satellite missions, electrification of aircraft, and cognitive engineering. His current work focuses on the role of Shared Mental Models in improving human-AI teaming. Upon the completion of his Master’s degree, Bowe will commence military jet pilot training with the United States Air Force.

Shared Mental Models play a crucial role in a number of different aspects of teamwork. Shared mental models are more than simply an understanding of the state of the exterior world, they also incorporate information about who within a team has both the ability to perform certain tasks as well as the responsibility to see that they are performed correctly.
